OPEN is a methodology built on years of experience working with diverse communities. Over the years, we have learned that the strength of a true team lies not in thinking alike, but in the ability of its members to listen to one another with understanding.
In March, in Plovdiv, we delivered the first OPEN workshop for a corporate client, together with part of the inspiring team at Kaufland Bulgaria. We embraced this trust with excitement, knowing that in our process, preparation matters — but it is not everything.
What happened in "the room"?
OPEN places participants in real situations involving difference, turning their authentic reactions into material for collaborative work. The processes in the room cannot be planned down to the last detail — it is precisely in this spontaneity that honest conversation is born; the kind that often goes unspoken in the rush of everyday life.
That conversation happened. The professionals from Kaufland recognized in the case studies situations from their own experience. The format quickly evolved into a dialogue between colleagues who know each other, but needed a safe space to hear one another in a new way.
Building on potential
The people at Kaufland Bulgaria are dedicated to their work, their teams, and their drive for productivity. That is why OPEN's mission was not to change their perspective, but to build on it. "What happens when you are 'the other'?" This is a question that deserves to be asked in every workplace.
