In line with the objective of the Trust for Social Achievement to increase access and participation in early education, with this project „New Road“ Association will continue to conduct national level advocacy to remove kindergarten fees through a working group chaired by the Ombudsman, engaging the National Association of Municipalities, carrying out an event at the Parliament and organizing the NGO community to support a social media campaign. The grantee will also advocate through their participation in various monitoring bodies for EU operational programs more generally for better consideration of kindergarten needs and both access and quality of early education, as well as for the inclusion of these topics in the new National Strategy for Roma Integration.
By strengthening the civic advocacy and activism towards the policies for improving access to early education, early childhood development and integration policies, the project will aim to contribute towards the establishing of political willingness and public support for better financing of early education, thus providing equal chances for each child to develop and thrive, despite their ethnic origin, family financial status or area of living.
