The aim of the project is to support Association "Arte Urbana Collectif" to implement cinema ateliers, using the European CinED platform with children in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade (altogether 95 children, predominantly Roma) from primary school "Neofit Rilski", village of Dermanci, Municipality of Lukovit, Lovech Region. Project activities include conducting one fiction and one animation cinema ateliers with each class, preparation of scripts and filming a short movie by each class, presentation of the final product at a local event in the village at the end of the project, as well as a visit of all children, who have worked on the project, to a youth cinema festival in Sofia and presentation of their short films.
The project will take place during the school year 2019/2020.
The project will provide a setting for the children to develop their motivation for learning, appreciation for art, creativity and imagination, as well as to practice their Bulgarian language skills, thus supporting their overall linguistic and socio-emotional development.
Arte Urbana Collectif, registered as an association in 2016, is an artistic collective based in Sofia, Bulgaria, which organizes cultural events such as festivals, workshop, masterclasses and other educational forums, and theater performances in Bulgaria with the aim to create an international artistic and cultural dynamic in the country.
