This project addresses the very low rates of university enrollment and completion of Roma students by selecting promising high school graduates, consulting them in their choice of a major and career, providing tutorials to help them prepare for one university entrance exam and covering their tuition for the first year of studies (when there are very limited sources of other funding). SSDID will work directly with 65 young Roma in pursuing higher education over the two years, as well as consult other Roma who are interested in attending university or already enrolled. The expected results of the program are minimum 55 young Roma enrolled in university studies and a successful model of paid consultation services.
