The Mentorship Support project will complement the Roma Scholarship Program which will be implemented in the framework of the Active Citizens Fund in Bulgaria. It will provide scholars with valuable mentorship support in the form of personal advice and professional guidance, which are important to career development and life success.
The project will allow Roma medical students to get valuable mentorship support. On average, it will support 40 students and 20 mentors per year until 2024. An estimated 54 unique Roma students will receive mentorship support, to help them successfully graduate from medical universities and colleges so that they contribute to a new, strong generation of Roma health professionals.

This call is implemented within the framework of the Active Citizens Fund Bulgaria under the European Economic Area (EEA) Financial Mechanism 2014 – 2021. Donor states Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway have awarded EUR 15 500 000 to the Active Citizens Fund in Bulgaria per a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Republic of Bulgaria. The objective of the Active Citizens Fund Bulgaria is to strengthen the civil society in Bulgaria and empower vulnerable groups.
