Trust

This project continues the work of the organization in the village Zhelio Voivoda-Sliven, which was supported by TSA during January-June 2014. In addition, it will be implemented in the village of Seliminovo. Addressing high illiteracy and knowledge gaps among Roma in 5th-8th grades, the organization will provide 1) tutorials in Bulgarian language and literature and mathematics for students in 5th-8th grade to help students prepare for the state exams (“maturi”) and successful enrollment in high school, 2) tutorials in Bulgarian for students in 5-8th grade who are illiterate and have major deficiencies in learning, and 3) other support, including provision of lunch when extra classes take place, essay competition, and festivities.
