The Trust for Social Achievement is proud to support a medical center that has been serving this community for the past five years.
Thanks to an extraordinary wave of private donations in 2019, TSA was able to equip and launch this center—an inspiring show of solidarity and care from individuals who believed in the power of accessible healthcare. The center has remained open ever since, sustained by ongoing contributions for medical supplies and the dedication of volunteer doctors who generously share their time and expertise.
In the last five years, the center has welcomed more than a thousand children and parents, offering essential yet often inaccessible medical services—vital to the health and well-being of the entire community, especially its youngest members.
The Fakulteta neighborhood is home to around 40,000 people and, according to some estimates, has the highest number of children in all of Sofia. Currently, there is only one general practitioner serving the entire area—and he is available just twice a week. Without our medical center and the dedicated volunteer doctors, most mothers and babies in the neighborhood would be left without any access to medical care.
