The Trust for Social Achievement Foundation has donated 10 000 leva to support the efforts against the spread of COVID-19. The donation was made to the National Network of Health Mediators in support of their intensified work due to the battle against COVID-19. Health mediators work hard on the ground in communities that are at high risk and with heightened mobility, as well as with families who lack the necessary information about the situation in the country and the necessity to take safety measures. 230 health mediators will be equipped with the necessary facemasks, goggles, protective costumes and sanitary materials. Their work takes place in more than 230 communities and with over 2000 people.
The activities of mediators raise awareness about COVID-19 and give people from Roma communities and vulnerable groups the opportunity to better protect themselves.
You can also help in the fight against the spread of the virus by donating for the purchase of sanitary and disinfection materials and personal protective equipment which will be made use of by people in vulnerable communities who live in extreme poverty or isolation, without access to clean water and electricity.
