The admission scores for the programmes Paramedic, Medical Laboratory Assistant, X-Ray Technician, Physical Therapist, Assistant Pharmacist, Medical Aesthetician (Medical Cosmetics) and Public Health Inspector are calculated by adding together the secondary school diploma grades in Bulgarian Language and Literature and Biology plus two times the exam grade. The maximum score is 24. The exam is an oral one with a written part on Motivation to Provide Health Care to the Ones in Need of It, which has three components (elements):

- general knowledge of the health care system;
- willingness and skills to work with people;
- psychosocial competence.
The admission scores for the programmes Nursing, Midwifery and Physician Assistant are calculated by only taking into account the grades earned in the exam, which consists of two parts – an oral and a written one focusing on the topics covered in the 10th grade Ethics and Law textbook.

The admission is open for fresh 2018 12th grade graduates, as well as for people up to 26 years of age who have already graduated from secondary school.
