On April 17 20 teenagers from across Bulgaria who are studying English through the project “A Step Toward Success" visited the U.S. Embassy.
“A Step Toward Success" is funded by the U.S. Department of State and implemented by the Trust for Social Achievement, “A Step Toward Success” offers English language and leadership development classes and camps to youth from disadvantaged communities. The students, their program coordinators and teachers, including American Anna Hernick, met with U.S. diplomats who told them stories of their work and life in the U.S. Foreign Service, and also broached topics like tolerance and racism.
