The concept of the current project builds up on the successes and lessons learnt during the pilot year of the Legal incubator, motivated and sustained by the desire of recent law graduates to pursue purpose-driven legal work, gain relevant experience and focus on either starting their own legal practice, or join successful law firms. Legal Incubator 2 – Legalpreneurs’ Lab will build further on the Legal Incubator’s mission to tackle injustice and continuously build and upgrade the young law professionals’ potential to contribute to more successful inclusion of the most deprived communities in Bulgaria. The project will provide physical space, trainings and ongoing mentorship support to 30 law university students (4th and 5th year) and graduates who are passionate about the future of their country and community. It will equip them with focused knowledge in practicing law and with hands-on experience on diverse legal issues, teach them how to plan, focus, organize and potentially start off their solo practices, create and nurture a learning community that will help to also inspire other youth to pursue higher education, and last but not least, address the need to tackle the discrimination and stereotypical attitudes towards the Roma community in Bulgaria.
