February 8, 2018, Sofia, TSA:
TSA has awarded a grant to Ethnic Minorities Health Problems Foundation for the implementation of the project “Preparatory courses for future Roma health professionals”.
The project seeks to contribute towards the preparation of the next generation of health professionals, making sure that Roma youth also have the opportunity to access tertiary education in medical/health disciplines. The project will provide training to 60 Roma youth who would like to prepare for the entry exams of Bulgarian medical universities and colleges in 2018 and 2019. Besides empowering motivated students to pursue tertiary education in the medical field, the project addresses the increasing shortage of healthcare personnel in Bulgaria and aims to draw greater awareness to specific health challenges in Roma communities.
Calls for applications will be open soon here: Ethnic Minorities Health Problems Foundation
